Questions to consider when creating lessons...

Time.
1. Did you include time (even if it is not precise)?
2. If you included time, does it add up? Don't forget breaks and transitions and unforseen but important interruptions.
2. Is there really enough time to complete the task? (Don't forget that 'thinking' about your verbal instructions is ALWAYS much faster than actually giving them.)

Prioritizing
1. Put a STAR next to the activities that must get done. (For the rest, IF you have time, go ahead and do them.)
2. Are they in correct order? (When you make your list, it rarely gets written down in the right order)

Transitions
1. If one activity is very different (in method, assessment, feel, etc.) than the very next one then create 'distance' between them with a break, or some other kinesthetic activity.

Correct Activity
1. Is the topic age appropriate?
2. Additionally, are there no Gender/Cultural/etc. issues to consider?
3. Is the activity too easy or too hard? In case it is, do you have a back up plan? Perhaps an easier (or harder) version ready to go?

Watch out for Hidden Mines
1. "Discuss...." To get a good discussion, one needs great prep (excellent questions or a set up) and a little luck!
2. "Ask questions about..." How are you going to ASK these questions? (do you need a set up before asking?)
3. "Have the students..." Watch out for glitches and then make a note of this to make changes the next time you do this activity.
